Unilin Sues Taiga Building Products in Canada

Wielsbeke, Belgium, January 29, 2007--Unilin said it filed a law suit against Taiga Building Products Ltd for patent infringement before the Federal court in Toronto. The suit was file On January 25. Unilin claims that Taiga has, through the importation of unlicensed glueless laminate floors, infringed four Canadian patents of Unilin. The patents in suit, CA 2 226 286, CA 2 475 076, CA 2 522 321 and CA 2 522 085 claim protection for Unilin’s technology for the glueless assembly of hard flooring panels.
