Unilin Grants New Click Flooring Licenses

Wielsbeke, Belgium, May 2006--On May 8, 2006, BuildDirect, one of Canada’s largest online wholesalers of building materials, based in Vancouver, entered into a license agreement with Flooring Industries, a unit of Unilin. BuildDirect is now permitted to import and sell specific engineered wood flooring manufactured with Unilin’s patented glueless locking systems. On May 5, 2006 Flooring Industries granted a license to Jilin Forest King Wood Co., Ltd., (Hunchun, China). Through this agreement, Jilin Forest King is also allowed to manufacture and sell its engineered wood flooring products with Unilin’s patented glueless click technology. On April 26, 2006 Flooring Industries and Puriplast, a laminate flooring manufacturer based in Chivas, Spain, concluded a license agreement with regard to Unilin’s patented glueless click technology, covering Puriplast’s past and future laminate flooring sales. Flooring Industries, based in Ireland, is the company within the Unilin Group that manages Unilin’s intellectual property.
