Unilin Files Suits Against Balterio

Wielsbeke, Belgium, January 11, 2007--Unilin has filed a patent infringement suit against companies of the Balterio group before the Patent County Court in London. Unilin claims that certain products sold by Balterio and by Balterio customers in the U.K. are infringing Unilin’s European Patent EP 1 026 341 which basically claims protection for certain glueless assembly joints with pretension and Unilin also claims that certain of the aforementioned products infringe Unilin’s EP 1 290 291, which basically claims protection for certain coated bevels applied on laminate flooring panels.
