Unilin Closes Belgian Laminate Flooring Plant

Mouscron, Belgium, July 16, 2009--Unilin, part of Mohawk Industries, shut down the Mouscron laminate flooring works in mid-June.

Laminate flooring production in Mouscron was primarily geared to products with a V-shaped groove. A plan for the 73 affected employees was agreed in mid-May during negotiations between the Unilin management and the FGTB and CSC unions.
