Unilin Accuses Pergo of Patent Infringement
Belgium, March 6, 2008—Following Pergo’s patent infringement complaint, Unilin said that its license agreement with Pergo for glueless locking systems was terminated according to the terms of the prior agreement.
Unilin said that Pergo, Uniboard and Pfleiderer are infringing upon Unilin's patents by selling and importing glueless flooring in the U.S. and other countries.
It said that the importation of unlicensed flooring products from the Canadian Uniboard operations into the U.S. is a further violation of the International Trade Commission's general exclusion order issued on Jan. 5 2007 and that negotiations to resolve the dispute have not been successful.
