Unemployment Held Steady at 3.7% in October

Washington, DC, November 2, 2018--Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 250,000 in October, and the unemployment rate was unchanged at 3.7%, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported. 

Job gains occurred in healthcare, in manufacturing, in construction, and in transportation and warehousing.
