Unemployment rates remains at 1.2% for week ending June 29
Washington, D.C., July 11, 2024--In the week ending July 6, 2024, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial jobless claims was 222,000, a decrease of 17,000 from the previous week's revised level, according to the Department of Labor. The previous week's level was revised up by 1,000 from 238,000 to 239,000.
The four-week moving average was 233,500, a decrease of 5,250 from the previous week's revised average. The previous week's average was revised up by 250 from 238,500 to 238,750.
The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 1.2% for the week ending June 29, 2024, unchanged from the previous week's unrevised rate.
