Ulf Mattsson New CEO of European Healthcare Compan
Göteborg, Sweden, December 8, 2005--The board of directors of the healthcare provider, The Capio Group, today announced that Ulf Mattsson, former CEO of Tarkett, North America, will take over as president and chief executive officer on January 1, 2006. The transfer of roles has been effected more smoothly and quickly than originally planned. "This is positive for the owners and employees, since it means that Capio can continue to move forward with its ambitious growth agenda without any loss of momentum," says Capio Chairman Roger Holtback, who continues: "Ulf and Per have worked together in an exemplary manner, which has enabled Ulf to take over the presidency earlier than planned." "I would like to extend my personal best wishes to Ulf and hope that he will have as enjoyable a period as myself, and that with the support of skilled colleagues he will be able to continue to develop Capio," says retiring President and CEO Per Batelson. Ulf Mattsson started at Capio in the middle of November in order to study and monitor the group's operations as part of his preparations to take over the role of president and CEO. Ulf has extensive international experience and was most recently employed at Molnlycke Healthcare AB in Sweden, where he was company president. Capio is one of Europe's leading healthcare providers, with operations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the United Kingdom, France, Spain and Switzerland. The Capio Group has annual net revenues of approximately SEK 12,000 M. Prior to that, Mattsson was president of flooring manufacturer Domco Tarkett, which is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange in Canada. "It will be an exciting challenge to continue the fantastic voyage upon which Capio has embarked," says Mattsson.
