UK’s Floors-2-Go to Opens Stores in Northern Irela
Birmingham, England, August 12—-The UK's biggest specialist flooring company will open six stores in Northern Ireland this month, according to the Belfast Telegraph.
Floors-2-Go, which has 136 stores in Britain, is expanding into the province at Bangor, Belfast, Lisburn, Newtownabbey, Newry and Portadown. The stores open on August 20.
The move is part of the company's overall expansion plans which have seen 15 new stores open in the UK this year.
Set up just five years ago, Floors-2-Go plc employs some 700 people and the Northern Ireland stores will employ 25.
The expansion coincides with the launch of the company's new range which follows a six-month review of the portfolio. Products include 90 laminate flooring lines and more than 40 real wood designs.
Floors-2-Go chief executive Simon Fransworth said of the Northern Ireland openings: "This marks the start of a very exciting period for the company.
"In five years we have expanded from one retail site in Birmingham to 136 stores across England, Scotland and Wales. Moving into Northern Ireland is a significant landmark for the company and we look forward to making significant headway here."
