Birmingham, England, March 14—-The Birmingham Post & Mail reported that Floors-2Go, Britain's biggest laminate and hardwood flooring specialist, is opening a new national distribution center in the Midlands.
It is taking 129,242 sq ft of space at Trinity Point, Oldbury, on a 15-year lease and is scheduled to move in next month after the fitting-out program.
A company spokesman said: "We plan to open 40 stores a year and the new distribution centre is integral to our development program which, inevitably, will create dozens of jobs across the country."
Carl Durrant, a partner in the Birmingham office of letting agents King Sturge, said Floors-2-Go's new base was an ideal property for the rapidlydeveloping company, offering a 10-metre high bay warehouse with ten loading doors.
Mr Durrant said: "The letting to Floors-2-Go is of major significance to the area and provides a New Year boost to the Black Country commercial property marketplace."
