UK Recycling Firm Advances in Contest

Manchester, England, Feb. 23, 2009--Anglo Recycling Technology Ltd. has been named “Best UK Family Business, Northern England and the Midlands Region.”

The company will now go on to compete the national finals to be held in central London on June 23.

Founded in 1939, Anglo Recycling Technology employs 39 people making non-woven products for the flooring and horticulture markets such as carpet underlay and capillary matting from waste or recycled fibres.

The company has almost tripled in size in the past 10 years and now has over 300 customers.

Lucy Armstrong, regional chair of the awards’ evaluation committee, said: “As a successful second generation family business, the judges were impressed with the sheer professionalism of everything that Anglo does.”
