UK Chain Larry's Laminate Land Folds

Glasgow, Scotland, May 2—Budget flooring chain Larry's Laminate Land has gone into receivership following a cash crisis, according to the Evening Times. The firm, advertised in a series of television and radio adverts by Scots comedian Andy Cameron, has now shut all its shops and called in the receivers. The company has branches near the Gallowgate, and in Rutherglen, East Kilbride, Renfrew, the west end, Kilmarnock and Ayr. Insolvency practitioners Findlay Hamilton, based in Pollokshields, are dealing with the firm's finances. It's thought customers who had paid for orders were given until today to pick up their flooring. Customer Fiona Love, 28, from Erskine, had placed an order for £1000-worth of flooring at the Rutherglen outlet. She said: "I was told I had up until today to collect the order. "It was a big shock when we discovered the business was in trouble because it seemed to have such a high profile."
