UK Carpet Tile Manufacturer Sold to Bonar Floors

Barnsley, England, January 22, 2008--Carpet tile manufacturer Westbond has been sold to Dundee-based Bonar Floors for £10.9 million.

Westbond was founded 26 years ago and specializes in working with architects, flooring contractors and clients to create custom flooring.

In its latest fiscal year, Westbond had net income of £600,000 and had gross assets of £3.8 million.

Mark Sefton, managing director of Bonar Floors, a subsidiary of Low and Bonar, said: "The Westbond brand and product range are highly complementary to our business. The combination of Westbond and Bonar Floors will create a very strong player on the growing European contract tile market."
