Truist Reports on 2026 International Builder Show

Charlotte, NC, February 20, 2026-Truist released the following analysis of the National Association of Home Builder’s 2026 International Builder Show, which took place February 17 to 19 in Orlando, Florida.

“Commentary from the recent show continues with an industry that knows the market needs more homes to be built and renovated but currently no momentum in buying to serve this need. Trends have recently seen R&R [repair and remodeling] bottom out, but single family starts data has continued to remain negative. We did detect a growing opinion that new single-family construction could start to bottom soon. Regardless, we generally believe commentary from this show reflects more what has recently happened than true predictive powers. Investors should remember that participants in this sector generally have only slightly more market knowledge than Wall Street.”
