Tricycle Founders to Speak at CMG and CARE Confere

Chattanooga, TN, April 5, 2006--In April and May, sustainable design company Tricycle, Inc. will present at the annual conferences of the Color Marketing Group and the Carpet America Recovery Effort. "COLORVALUES," the Spring international conference of the Color Marketing Group, will be held in Denver on April 7-11. The event is a members-only gathering of the CMG, a not for profit association of color designers who forecast color directions one to three years in advance. CMG's major focus is to identify the direction of color trends and then translate this information into salable colors for manufactured products in both consumer/ residential and contract/ commercial markets. Presenting to the CMG on behalf of Tricycle is Michael Hendrix, Chief Brand Officer and Creative Director. Hendrix will speak on Tricycle's digital tools and services that reduce design waste for the manufacturers and specifiers of interiors surfaces. After his presentation, he will lead a workshop on the impact that digital design tools are having on the color palette, as well as manufacturing, today and in the near future. On May 2-4, the annual conference of the Carpet America Recovery Effort will be held in southern Georgia. CARE is a joint initiative of the carpet industry, the Environmental Protection Agency, state governments and non-governmental organizations. CARE focuses on improving the quantity and quality of recycling efforts and recycled products in the carpet industry, with a goal of reducing the amount of carpet waste landfilled annually. Jonathan Bragdon, President and Chief Operating Officer of Tricycle, will present to the attendees on the dematerialization of product development and sampling, with a particular focus on new strategies for design and delivery of commercial carpets. CARE's emphasis upon reducing post-consumer waste aligns with Tricycle's elimination of unnecessary design waste, or pre-production waste, to impact the full lifecycle of creative products in the carpet and textile industries. Bragdon will also present a relaunch of CARE's website, which Tricycle has redesigned and built for the nonprofit.
