Traweek Opens New ProSource in Boca Raton
Boca Raton, FL, June 22, 2006--ProSource Wholesale Floorcoverings, known for offering its members-only clientele a wide variety of flooring products, expanded last month to Boca Raton and Pompano Beach, according to the Boca Raton News. Jim Traweek, owner of ProSource's South Florida franchise, said the Boca location targets those who regularly frequent an existing site in West Palm Beach. ProSource has 44 locations around the country--including several in South Florida. "We get so many people from Boca who go to the West Palm Beach store, it only seemed right to open a new location for them," Traweek said. "We're excited about being a part of the Boca community." As with other locations, the Boca ProSource offers some 25,000 choices of flooring--basic and exotic--from top manufacturers in the business. "That includes carpet, vinyl, ceramic tile, hardwood and natural stone. If it goes on the floor, we sell it," Traweek said. "Our selection is larger than other stores, which may only have up to 3,000 flooring choices at one time. It's all high-end products as well." One type of flooring material sold exclusively at ProSource is its Maretti line of glazed porcelain tiles, imported from Spain, Italy and Ecuador. Traweek pointed out other special features that differentiate the Boca ProSource from the local competition. "There's 24-hour showroom accessibility and flexible pricing," he said. "It definitely gives us the upper hand against any home centers or mom-and-pop retailers." Started in 1994, ProSource serves more than 90,000 clients and earns some $175 million in yearly revenues. The company draws customers from a membership group that consists of flooring trade professionals and contractors. "Even though the stores are generally not open to the general public, an individual can come in with the flooring professional who is working for him or her," Traweek said. So far, the Boca location has received much positive feedback during its first month of operation. Future plans call for new Florida-based ProSource stores to open in Miami and Port Charlotte. "ProSource has experienced great success in the Florida market," Traweek said. "We look forward to achieving continued growth."
