Mississauga, Ontario, May 27—-Torlys has launched in Canada enhancements to its Steps Perspective4 line of floors and two new, innovative lines of Steps Laminate floors with a first-in-the-world Natural Authentic surface that creates an unparalleled appearance of real wood and natural stone.
New Natural Authentic surface replicates the natural grain patterns and gloss levels of hardwood in Steps Perspective4 and new Steps Eligna, and the natural stone look of Steps Quadra Slate laminate tiles.
Perspective4 and Eligna planks with Natural Authentic finish feature longer, deeper pores in softwood areas; more organic or natural grain patterns; and contrasting gloss levels to create more natural variations and enhance the appearance of real wood. The surface finish also gives Quadra Slate tiles an even more natural appearance, making them the only product in the world with a multitude of different layers of height in a single tile.

Natural Authentic surface emulates the natural layered surfaces of slate. "New STEPS Quadra Slate is appealing to the eye, and comfortable under foot. Quadra Slate floors have unmatched warmth and character, and are the most perfect alternative to real slate tiles," said Kocemba.
"Quadra Slate tiles can be used to create a Modern look by laying tiles in adjacent straight lines, or tiles can be staggered for a more casual look. Contrasting colours can even be combined to create a traditional checkerboard pattern. As well, Steps Quadra Slate tiles can be combined with STEPS Elegance wood-look laminate to create a combination floor. Quadra Slate gives décor-oriented consumers many options in creating floors."

The Steps Eligna Single- and Double-Plank line features Natural Authentic surface on these new Single-Plank floors: Vintage Oak Natural Varnished (U-995), Vintage Oak Dark Varnished (U-1001) and Merbau (U-996).
