Torlys Builds Presence In Quebec

Mississauga, Ontario, Dec. 11--Torlys has expanded and reorganized its team of flooring consultants in Eastern Canada to take advantage of growing opportunities in the floorcovering industry in Quebec and Atlantic Canada. Steeve Guimond has joined the company as a Retail Flooring Consultant, responsible for developing and supporting the Torlys “Yes you can…” Dealer network in the Gaspe and northern New Brunswick. He is based in Edmunston, N.B. Steeve was previously with Planchers Ancestral as Sales Representative for Atlantic Canada as well as Alberta and B.C. In central Quebec, Lucie Pelletier will be developing and supporting the Torlys Retail Dealer network in the Montreal area. She has 7 years of retail sales experience in the floorcovering industry, most recently with Armstrong World Industries. Lucie has also worked for Formica Canada Inc. Serge Crevier has also joined the Torlys team, as Builder Flooring Consultant in Quebec. He is responsible for developing and supporting the Torlys Builder business throughout the province. Serge, who has 13 years of experience in the hardwood flooring industry, was previously Quebec District Manager for Armstrong World Industries. “We’re very pleased to have Steeve, Lucie and Serge on our team in Quebec,” says Ron Savoie, Eastern Region Sales Manager, Torlys. “Combined, they have a wealth of sales experience that will help Torlys capitalize on emerging opportunities in both the retail and builder sectors in Quebec.” Also in Eastern Canada, Don MacDougall is now the Retail Flooring Consultant responsible for developing and supporting all TORLYS Retail Dealers in all three Maritime Provinces. He previously represented only New Brunswick and P.E.I. for Torlys. Don has assumed responsibility for Nova Scotia as well,replacing Rob Richardson, who is now responsible for developing Torlys Builder business in the Maritimes. “This reorganization in the Maritimes enables Torlys to increase its focus on both Retail and Builder business development in the entire Region,” says Ron Savoie.
