Tokyo, Japan, Jun. 4--Toray plans to expand its resin compound production facilities in China (four new production units) and Thailand (to 20,000 tons/y) by 2006.
In Malaysia, the company produces ABS and will construct a PBT plant in a joint venture with BASF. In China, the company plans a new nylon 6 polymerization plant (start up planned for 2006).
In 2005, ABS capacity will be increased by 20,000 tons/y and the 60,000 tons/y PBT unit will start up in 2006.
