Topps Tiles Sees Higher Revenues Since October
London, England, Jan. 11, 2011 -- Tile and flooring retailer Topps Tiles' sales were affected by recent poor weather but since the start of October, total revenues increased by 1.8%.
In the first seven weeks, before the poor weather, sales were up by 2.9%.
"We experienced some disruption during December from the extreme weather conditions and I feel the business has responded well during a testing period. Against this context I am particularly satisfied with the performance over the period as a whole," chairman Barry Bester said.
The retailer has 312 stores.
