Topps Tiles Says Sales Plunge This Summer

London, England, Aug. 25, 2011 -- Topps Tiles reported a sharp fall in sales over the summer, blaming a weak consumer confidence for its performance.

Topps Tiles, the UK’s largest tile and wood flooring specialist, said it was likely not to meet forecasts due to the economic downturn.

Like-for-like sales were down by 10.4% in the seven weeks to August 20, faster than the decline of 1.9% seen over the previous 13 weeks.
