Topps Tiles Sales Pick Up in Recent Weeks

London, England, Jan. 10, 2012 -- The chairman of Topps Tiles said he was encouraged by the retailer's progress in recent weeks as it posted an improved performance.

Michael Jack said at the firm's annual meeting that like-for-like revenues in the first 13 weeks of its financial year were down 4.2%.

However, Topps previously reported a 6.9% slump in the first seven weeks of the period, indicating a stronger sales performance in the last six weeks.

Topps has 320 stores and anticipates opening five more branches this financial year.
