Topps Tiles Reports Lower Early Year Revenues

London, England, March 25, 2009--One of the UK's largest tile and wood flooring specialists Topps Tiles has reported a drop in revenue for the start of 2009.

Topps said at its annual general meeting that total revenues for the first 13 weeks of the financial year had decreased by 13.1% with year-over-year revenues reduced by 18.1%.

Overall revenue was approximately $134 million compared to $154.8 million a year ago.

Topps has 340 stores, but said it plans to limit new store openings.
