Top Safety Record Puts Milliken on Fortune List

Spartanburg, SC, January 28, 2008—Fortune magazine named Milliken & Company to the list of “100 Best Companies to Work For.”

Milliken Floor Covering and Millilken Walk Off Mats came in at 92 on the list. Milliken also ranked #31 on the Best Medim-Sized Company list. It is the fourth time the company has been recognized on the listing.

Job growth is a key factor in making the list. The 100 companies on this year's list added 67,000 employees have a total of nearly 1.6 million employees; up 16% from last year.

However, Milliken, which has seen about 8 percent job contraction, was chosen for its outstanding safety records. Safety problems have fallen eight fold since 1981.
