Tipton Promoted at Quick-Step
Thomasville, North Carolina, March 9, 2006--To help further the exposure and success of Quick-Step glueless laminate floors in the specialty retail market, Tim Tipton has taken the position as national buying group sales manager. With over 15 years in the floor covering industry, Tipton has carved out an aggressive and diversified career. He joined Quick-Step in 2002 as director of marketing, spearheading a comprehensive marketing campaign for the U.S. involving extensive advertising and public relations efforts. In addition, he managed merchandising, promotions and communication initiatives. “We are very excited to have Tim accept this new and exciting position with our company,” said Ken Peden, vice president of sales for Quick-Step. “As the leader in sales of laminate flooring to the specialty retail channel, our goal is to continue to improve our market share. Tim’s background in the retail channel will be of a major advantage in dealing with our key retail customers.” In addition to managing national buying groups, Tipton will also oversee Quick-Step’s builder division. These are the two fastest growing channels in the laminate flooring industry.
