Tile Contractors Manual Available on CD
Jackson, MS, Dec. 22, 2008--The National Tile Contractors Association has made the latest version of the NTCA Reference Manual available on CD-ROM.
“For too long, the NTCA Reference Manual has been the best kept secret in our industry,” said Bart Bettiga, executive director of the NTCA.
“Loaded with valuable information that can save time and money before and after an installation, the CD-ROM version belongs on the laptop of every contractor, estimator, field superintendent, store manager, builder, dealer or business owner. If your employees perform inspections on an installation, the reference manual is an invaluable tool to assist you in determining the cause and solution to your problem.”
A product of semi-annual meetings of the NTCA Technical Committee, a group of top industry experts that includes tile contactors and manufacturers, the reference manual is a collection of professional documents that help ensure a flawless, high-performance tile installation.
It covers grouting, thin-bed installations, underlayments, substrates, specific installation procedures, marble and granite stone tiles, maintenance procedures and stain removal, to name just a few of the downloadable topics.
Each member of the NTCA gets one copy free each spring when the annual hard copy is printed, and now all members in good standing will get one free copy each year of the NTCA CD-ROM.

The latest version, now on CD-ROM, includes updates on the installation, care and maintenance of stone tile installations, plus two new documents that address ceramic tile installation over poured gypsum underlayments, and warnings against the dangerous practice of using scribing felt as a crack isolation membrane.
