Tile Business Gets OSHA Fine After Collapse

Kansas City, MO, Jan. 22, 2010--The federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration on Thursday fined a Grandview flooring business $50,000 for a floor collapse in September that injured three workers, according to KansasCity.com.

The agency cited Kenny’s Tile & Floor Covering with three violations, including exceeding weight limits.

On Sept. 23, part of the main floor gave way, sending steel, concrete and pallets of tile crashing into a work area below. Three employees were hospitalized.
