Three Manufacturers, Veteran Analyst Joins INSTALL

Philadelphia, PA, July 3, 2007 — Bentley Prince Street, Nora Rubber Flooring, Dependable Flooring Systems and the Ray Thompson Floor Covering Institute are the newest members of INSTALL, the International Standards and Training Alliance.

The three manufacturers and industry analyst join this alliance of mills, manufacturers, contractors and the floor covering arm of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. INSTALL is the flooring industry’s only four-year, industry-endorsed training, marketing and certification program in North America.

“In order to perpetuate the flooring industry, we must have qualified training institutions,” said Ray Thompson, founder of the institute that carries his name.

Officials from all three manufacturers and Thompson attended the recent INSTALL flooring conference in Las Vegas. Nora and Thompson joined the alliance after the conference ended. Bentley and Dependable joined prior to the event.

“We currently have 43 major mills and manufacturers who endorse and support the INSTALL program, and now we welcome the expansion of our partnership to a veteran such as Ray Thompson and his Institute,” said John McGrath, INSTALL Director.

All four new members agreed to offer their technical experts to help steer the INSTALL curriculum so that what’s taught to INSTALL professionals reflects directly to what is needed on the job site.
