Three AmericasMart Exhibitors Complete Showroom Ex
Atlanta, GA, June 23—-Three AmerciasMart exhibitors — Obeetee, Inc., Zollanvari and Delos — have each completed major showroom expansions.
Obeetee, an exhibitor since 1997, is located on floor 5,5F6. The showroom now occupies 5,400 square feet of space. Zollanvari, located on floor 5, 5D2, has expanded by 1,600 square feet to more than 3,700 square feet.
Delos —housed in 6C6, 8— has more than doubled its showroom to 1,800 square feet. Both Delos and Zollanvari have been mart exhibitors since 2002.
"These three companies bring tremendous quality, individuality and diversity to our market center and to our industry," states Chas Sydney, senior vice president of floor coverings and new business development. "While perhaps different in approach and audience, each company complements the others, and adds diversity and variety to the Area Rug Center."
Established in 1920, Obeetee is India’s leading producer and exporter of hand-knotted, hand-tufted and flatwoven carpets. In 1997 the company was founded to facilitate product marketing and distribution in North America. Headquartered in New York City, the company is also activity involved in environmental and social welfare reform initiatives in India.
Founded near the turn of the century in southern Iran, the Zollanvari name has enjoyed a long tradition in the Oriental carpet trade. Family-owned and operated, Zollanvari continues to obtain its carpets from different nomadic tribes in the Zagros Mountains and all products are produced from 100% hand-spun new wool and natural colors. Its collections represent both modern and traditional design elements to include the Desert Designs — a brand new collection — Amaleh, Belutsh, Soumakh, Bulurbaft, Gabbeh and Jajim collections.
Atlanta, GA-based Delos is a relative newcomer by area rug industry standards. Nonetheless, Delos, owned and spearheaded by Ivan Phillips, is equipped with extensive knowledge in the sourcing, sales and marketing of area rugs. Progressive and on the forefront of manufacturing, Delos remains dedicated to quality, old-world craftsmanship. Hand-tufted and hand-knotted, Delos’ collections include Dionysus, Intrepid, Moda, Primitive Legacy, Rustica, and Kodari.
