This Old House Films Segment At Columbia Flooring

Danville, VA, Jan. 19--Master carpenter Norm Abram of the Emmy Award-winning series, This Old House, visited Columbia Flooring’s Danville, VA engineered hardwood flooring plant on November 24 to film a segment that will premiere on PBS Thursday, January 22 in the first half of The New This Old House Hour at 8pm ET. Abram and the show’s crew, including This Old House creator/executive producer/director Russell Morash, filmed a tour of the facility conducted by Danville plant manager John Tappan, which outlined the process of manufacturing engineered hardwood flooring. Columbia Dales Collection longstrip engineered hardwood floating floors will be installed in the This Old House “Concord Cottage” renovation. Abram took time after the show’s filming to visit with Columbia executives and employees at a plant-wide meeting, during which he answered questions, posed for photographs and signed autographs.
