Teragren Settles Patent Suit Against Smith & Fong
Bainbridge Island, WA, July 8, 2009--Bamboo flooring firm Teragren Fine said it has settled the lawsuit that alleged Smith & Fong Company infringed upon a Teragren patent.
The lawsuit was resolved after the Washington State District Court upheld its earlier ruling that the patent only covers the use of random length strands that are staggered.
As part of the settlement, Teragren has agreed to cease any further legal action in its patent infringement case against Smith & Fong.
“Although we were disappointed by the Court’s interpretation, we have accepted its decision,” said Teragren CEO & President David Knight.
