Tennant Recognized for Environmental Efforts
Minneapolis, MN, July 12, 2007--Tennant Co. announced that it has been included by KLD Research and Analytics for the 2007 Domini 400 Social Index (DS400). The DS400 index recognizes companies for their performance as social and environmental stewards.
The independent research and investment firm launched the DS400 index in 1990 as a first benchmark for equity portfolios evaluated according to social and environmental performance. The DS400 consists of 400 companies that demonstrate leadership in corporate social responsibility.

KLD is an independent investment research firm serving the investing community with strategies based on corporate social and environmental performance. The DS400 Index evaluates company performance on environment, community relations, diversity, employee relations, human rights, product quality and safety, and corporate governance.
Tennant Company’s inclusion in the DS400 Index was determined based on an analysis of the Company’s community relations, diversity, employee relations, human rights, and product quality and safety, environment and corporate governance.
KLD noted Tennant’s environmental stewardship for products like FaST® and the Eco-Advantage® coatings. The firm also recognized the Tennant Foundation’s charitable contributions to information and educational resources. KLD also credited Tennant for work/life balance programs and retirement benefits.
