Minneapolis, MN, November 14, 2005--Before a crowd of more than 2,000 Minnesota technology leaders, Tennant Company and retiring president and CEO Janet Dolan were recognized among the best of the best at the Minnesota High Technology Association's annual Tekne Awards dinner.
Tennant Company was one of three finalists for the prestigious innovation award in the category of Advanced Manufacturing. Up against 3M and Entegris, Tennant was nominated for its innovative development and manufacturing of technology solutions such as FaST and ReadySpace technology.
In the category of Leadership of Established Companies, Janet Dolan emerged the winner from a field of finalists that included Jim Bauch of NCS Pearson, a scanning systems company, and Dr. Joe Sertich of Northeast Higher Education District. In presenting this award to Dolan, the judges commented, "Whether advocating for legislative issues or working side-by-side with production employees, Dolan contributes to the generation and discussion of new ideas, delivers positive encouragement and leadership to her employees and personally commits to leading by example."
The Tekne Awards are presented annually by the Minnesota High Tech Association and Minnesota Technology to companies that demonstrate leadership in innovation in Minnesota and beyond.
