Tarkett, Välinge To Commercialize New Technology
Nanterre, France, Jan. 21, 2010--Tarkett and Välinge said they have signed a license agreement for developing a new and innovative product category.
The terms of the agreement covers the industrial development of a new product category based on Välinge’s wood powder technology with innovative properties such as increased impact and wear resistance.
Tarkett said it strengthens its flooring business and extends its locking license with this new wood fiber floor technology.
Välinge and Tarkett anticipate that new floor categories based on Powder Technology will capture large market shares mainly from stone and ceramics but also from traditional laminate floors.
The coming months will enable both companies to further develop this wood fiber floor technology in order to offer to the market a complete new range of products.
