Tarkett Residential Announces Price Increases

Whitehall, PA, PA, September 27, 2005 -- Tarkett Residential has announced plans to initiate price increases on FiberFloor products as well as the company’s residential sheet vinyl products. The increases will range from between four and eight percent and will go into effect as of October 24, 2005. The modifications come as a result of the rising costs of raw materials, energy and transportation. “We have held the line as long as we can,” says Jan Lembregts, president, Tarkett Resilient and Wood, North America. “Despite our best efforts to create and maintain efficiencies to cut costs, the effect on fuel prices from the hurricanes in the Gulf as well as the continued rise in raw materials costs makes this increase necessary.” “As always, we remain dedicated to providing high quality, competitively priced products that offer value to consumers and profit potential to our distributor and dealer partners,” adds Jim Morando, president, Customer Relations.
