Tarkett Residential Announces Price Increases

Whitehall, PA, January 25--Tarkett Residential has announced plans to initiate price increases on select FiberFloor products as well as the company’s residential sheet flooring line. The increases will range from between five and seven percent for FiberFloor and two and six percent for sheet vinyl, and will go into effect as of March 1, 2005. The modifications come as a result of the rising costs of raw materials, energy and transportation. "Materials costs continue to skyrocket, affecting manufacturers in all industries," says Jan Lembregts, president, Tarkett Residential, North America. "Despite our ongoing and concerted efforts to create and maintain efficiencies throughout the supply chain, we can no longer shoulder the increasing costs alone and have been forced to adjust our pricing accordingly. "As always, we remain dedicated to providing high quality products that offer value to consumers and profit potential to our distributor and dealer partners," Lembregts adds.
