Tarkett Plant Gets ISO 14001 Certification

Houston, TX, July 21, 2010--Tarkett said that its plant in Houston has received ISO 14001 certification for its Environmental Management System. The plant produces Azrock commercial tile.

ISO 14001 is an international standard which sets out the requirements for an Environmental Management System. Its core criteria include: prevention of pollution, continual improvement and compliance with relevant national and local regulatory requirements.

“Our dedicated Environmental Management System team in Houston is looking forward to using the system to help continually improve the environmental performance of the Houston facility,” said Anthony Matti, manufacturing director for Tarkett’s Houston plant.

Tarkett has 29 production sites in 100 countries.
