Whitehall, PA, February 21--Tarkett Inc. has appointed Perry Coker senior vice president, residential sales.
In this role Coker will oversee sales for all products in Tarkett’s Residential and Wood divisions, including FiberFloor, sheet vinyl, laminate and hardwood.
Nafco by Tarkett brands will not be affected by this new structure.
"Tarkett has aggressive sales goals for 2005 and beyond, and in order to achieve those objectives the company is consolidating sales efforts for all of our sheet vinyl, laminate and wood residential products under one unit," said Jan Lembregts, president, Tarkett Residential, North America.
Added Jim Morando, president, Tarkett Wood, "We also plan to increase our sales force by 40 percent this year to intensify the momentum established in 2004. As a result, we will be better able to provide our customers with a comprehensive offering from Tarkett that caters to a variety of residential flooring needs."
As part of the new structure, Tarkett has established five new sales regions, each with its own region manager responsible for all sheet vinyl, FiberFloor, laminate and hardwood sales. Those regions include the Northeast, Midwest, Southeast, Southwest and West.
Morando continued, "Perry has shown considerable talent and determination in working with distributors and we’re looking forward to our entire residential sales team benefiting from his stewardship."
A 16-year veteran of the flooring industry, Coker will remain based out of Atlanta, Georgia
