Tarkett Converting 8mm Laminate to Välinge 5G

Frankenthal, Germany, Oct. 22, 2009--Tarkett Holding will convert its 8mm laminate flooring produced by the joint venture company Laminate Park to the 5G system developed and licensed by Välinge Innovation.

The installation of machinery necessary for inserting the plastic profiles into the short edge should be completed in December.

Laminate Park will initially only convert the profiling line used for making 8mm laminate flooring. The second plant, which produces 7, 9, and 10mm laminate flooring, remains geared to the previous laying systems.
