Tarkett Buys French Wood Firm Parquets Marty

Paris, France, July 14 2011 -- Tarkett said it has acquired French wood floor manufacturer Parquets Marty.

The acquisition is part of Tarkett's strategy to grow its flooring business in Southern Europe. It will give Tarkett a production site in Cuzorn in south-western France and a range of wood floor products suited to Southern Europe.

Tarkett said it plans to invest 13 million euros in improving industrial facilities at the Cuzorn site, and will use its industrial and commercial experience to expand Parquets Marty commercial business.

Parquets Marty will also benefit from Tarkett’s sales network, the firm said.
