Tarkett Announces Price Increase

Chagrin Falls, OH, May 17, 2011--Tarkett announced a price increase of approximately 6% to 8% across both its residential and commercial brands. The increase will take effect later in the second quarter.

“The persistent escalation in the price of raw materials has outpaced internal efficiency improvements that typically offset cost volatility,” said Jeff Buttitta, president and CEO of Tarkett North America. “Though cost-saving efforts remain a constant, these sustained increases necessitate price adjustments.”
