Tandus Wins Bloom Award for Ethos Cushion

Dalton, GA, May 27, 2010--Tandus Flooring won this year’s Bloom Award in the flooring category for Powerbond ethos Cushion from the Landscapes Patterns Collection.

The Bloom Award is the product of the partnership between the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and Interiors &  Sources magazine.

The award recognizes products that best demonstrate the successful combination of innovation and sustainability and is based in part on the extent to which the product is environmentally innovative and aesthetically pleasing.

Ethos is made from recycled non-chlorinated polymer commonly found in the abundantly available waste from windshields and safety glass.

Powerbond has been a part of Tandus Flooring’s closed loop recycling since the program’s inception in 1994—a program that has recycled more than 165 million pounds of flooring back into flooring. Powerbond ethos Cushion contains 36 to 61 percent overall recycled content including 10 percent post-consumer content and is NSF-140 Platinum certified.

"The Bloom Award recognizes innovation in its truest form as it relates to environmental responsibility and design and we are honored to receive the award,” said Tandus Flooring President & CEO Glen Hussmann, LEED AP.

Tandus Flooring will feature new designs with ethos at NeoCon.
