Tandus Honors County Recycling Effort

Dalton, GA, Oct. 2008 – Tandus has recognized Barrow County Board of Education with its Environmental Stewardship Award for the board’s commitment to recycling.

Tandus collaborated with Georgia’s Barrow County BOE to reclaim 34,225 pounds of flooring through its reclamation program of its C&A Floorcoverings brand.

“We appreciate Tandus for providing us with the opportunity to recycle our old flooring as we install new in
our facility,” said Jake Grant, assistant superintendent of facilities.

“It saves us from contributing to the landfills and we can do our part to help the environment and be a green organization.”

Since the inception of its closed-loop recycling program, Tandus has diverted more than 130 million pounds
of reclaimed vinyl-backed floorcovering from landfills and incinerators, and turned it back into 100 percent
recycled content backing for its flooring.
