Tandus Hires Retired Marine as Exec. Consultant

Dalton, GA, April 4, 2012 -- Tandus Flooring has named retired Marine Master Sergeant William “Spanky” Gibson as executive consultant.

In this advisory position, Gibson will work as an integral member of the Tandus Flooring Government Team in support of business development with government agencies nationwide.

Gibson was the first above-the-knee amputee to return to ground combat operations in Iraq and was the first enlisted service member to be appointed as a Congressional Fellow to the U.S. House of Representatives, advocating for wounded warrior initiatives on the House Committee on Veteran’s Affairs.

Gibson has won the Meritorious Service Medal, Purple Heart, Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Valor Device, Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medals and Combat Action Ribbons.
