Burnbury, British Columbia, June 28--Taiga Forest Products Ltd. signed an agreement with Surpra Floors Inc. to be the exclusive national distributor of Subflor Advance and Subflor Supreme in Canada, as well as an agreement to distribute the product on a non-exclusive basis in the United States.
Subflor Advance is a new flooring product that is used for basements or rooms built over concrete slab. It consists of 2 ft. x 2 ft. panels that interlock to create a smooth, solid surface, ready for the installation of a finished floor covering. Subflor Advance features a moisture barrier, with a built-in channeling system to channel away moisture and keep the floor dry. The air in this space and the Subflor Advance panel itself creates a thermal break and acts as insulation to keep floors and rooms warm.
Subflor Supreme uses the same system as Subflor Advance, however it adds a durable finished laminate surface.
Subflor Advance is currently sold through "big-box" retailers in Canada and the US, as well as through many independent home improvement retailers in Canada and the US.
Taiga Forest Products is Canada's largest independent distributor of building products, as measured by revenue, and is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol TFP.
