Tai Ping To Use WONZ New Laneve Fiber
Marietta, GA, Dec. 15, 2009--Tai Ping said it will use Wools of New Zealand's Laneve fiber in select carpets and rugs sold throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
Wool Partners International, the parent company of Wools of New Zealand, recently launched Laneve as a specialty fiber brand that sits alongside the Wools of New Zealand Brand on qualifying products.
Eric Cooper, Tai Ping’s Vice President of Global Technical Operations and Sustainability, said “As a Wools of New Zealand partner since 1995, it makes perfect sense for us to embrace the use of Laneve. This branded fiber is traceable to source and complies with third-party accredited standards for environmental protection, animal welfare, careful chemical use, social responsibility and even record keeping. We applaud this enhanced focus on sustainable practices and are pleased to be an Inaugural Laneve Partner.”
Tai Ping is a vertically integrated enterprise, with carding, spinning, dyeing, Axminster, hand-tufting, pass-tufting, machine-tufting, Wilton, automotive and carpet tile capabilities.
The company primarily uses New Zealand wool in the making of its custom floor coverings and plans to use Laneve brand fiber in select Tai Ping and Edward Fields collections. Edward Fields, a luxury company noted for its handmade expertise, was purchase by Tai Ping in 2005.
