Tacony, Oreck Vacuums Get CRI Gold Approval
Dalton, GA, Oct. 16, 2008--A total of 26 new vacuum cleaners have earned the Carpet and Rug Institute's designation as Green Label/Seal of Approval vacuum cleaners.
The new Seal of Approval/Green Label vacuum program is a tiered program with bronze level requiring a 10 percent improvement of cleaning performance over the existing Green Label program. A gold level machine must also meet a higher dust containment standard. The new gold standard requires that a machine has no more than 35 micrograms of dust particle emission. The old standard allowed for 100 micrograms of dust particle emission.
All 26 machines earned gold designation with Tacony Corporation of Fenton, Mo. supplying 18 Oreck of Cookeville, Tenn. providing an additional eight machines.
The Tacony vacuums earning gold certification include: Riccar Vibrance Premium; Riccar Vibrance Delux; Riccar Vibrance Standard; Symmetry Premium; Symmetry Delux; Symmetry Standard; Simplicity F3300; Simplicity F3500; Simplicity F3700; Simplicity 3300C; Simplicity 3500C; Simplicity F3700C; Riccar RSL1A; Riccar RSL3; Riccar RSL5; Riccar RSL1AC; Riccar RSL3C; and Riccar RSL5C.
The Oreck models certified gold included: U2250R; RU2250R; U3770H; RU3770H; U4150H; RU4150H; U7000E; and RU7000E.
In addition, there are eight new cleaning solutions under the CRI Seal of Approval Program, upping the total to 231 products.
Biotec Corporation, Cleaner's Depot, and Misco Products Corporation each have two new products certified in the program and are joined by Nu-Tech Cleaning Systems and Oreck with new products in the program.
