Surya Carpet Newest Wools of New Zealand Partner

Atlanta, GA, June 10--Surya Carpet, Inc. (SCI) of Calhoun, Georgia has become a Brand and Technology Partner of Wools of New Zealand. With the addition of SCI, Wools of New Zealand has 45 partners that supply Branded products to the North American market. SCI is a subsidiary of Surya Carpet Pvt., Ltd. (SCPI) of Bhadohi, India, which has been in business for more than 30 years. The company has its own integrated manufacturing facilities so it can ensure the quality of its product from the spinning of the woolen yarn to the finished product. Although the company offers a variety of rug constructions, it specializes in hand-knotted and hand-tufted rugs. “We are long-time users of New Zealand wool and recognize it as a superior fiber,” explains Chandra Tiwari, CEO of SCI. “The decision to become a partner grew from our customers’ familiarity with the Wools of New Zealand Brand. We have witnessed the effect Wools of New Zealand has had on our industry and want to support their efforts. We also see tremendous value in their services and seek to benefit from their expertise.” SCI has permanent showrooms at the Atlanta Merchandise Mart, 4-A-5, and at the Show Place Building #3234 in High Point, NC. The company also plans to exhibit at the Surfaces Trade Show in 2005. New for the upcoming Atlanta Rug Market are four additions to SCI’s recently introduced Taj Mahal collection, bringing the total offering to nineteen. The rugs are hand-knotted in Persian-influenced patterns and carry the Wools of New Zealand Brand. Featured colors include rich shades of red, black and gold in both striking and subtle combinations. All Taj Mahal rugs are offered in sizes ranging from 3'6" x 5'6" to 9'6" x 13'6" and include 8' rounds and squares.
