Survey: Americans Want More Domestic Products

Washington, DC, July 27, 2020-Retailers says Americans are increasingly seeking out products made domestically, or anywhere other than China, according to a report from Furniture Today.

Results from a recent survey by FTI Consulting, a Washington, D.C.-based firm, show 40% of respondents say they won’t buy products from China; another 78% say they’d be willing to pay more for products if a manufacturer relocated from China, according to Furniture Today’s report.

The survey results were released in May.

Consumer sentiment around products made in China has declined in recent months amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Contributing to this has been a desire in buying goods closer to home as well as overall health concerns.
