Surfaces, Las Vegas Market, Form Partnership

Dallas, Texas, Dec. 20, 2009—Flooring trade show Surfaces and home furnishings showcase World Market Center Las Vegas are forming a strategic partnership in order to provide a more compelling event for each of their supporters.

These events, which are both being held this year Feb. 1-5, are joining forces to provide their attendees the chance to take advantage of both shows.

“We view Las Vegas Market as a complementary event to ours,” said Dana Teague, director of Surfaces.

“We feel by joining forces we are providing our attendees the opportunity to experience two shows in one week, saving on expenses, which is essential right now.”

Highlights of the partnership include acceptance of each show’s registration credentials, transportation vouchers and discounts on education.

Las Vegas Market attendees will receive a 25 percent discount on Surfaces’ Designer Day event on Feb., 3 which includes a behind-the-scenes tour of Encore, the brand new sister property of Wynn Las Vegas, a Speed Trending tour of the show floor and luncheon featuring Kim Myles of HGTV’s Myles of Style.

Las Vegas Market hosts an array of seminar series that focus on design trends and business strategies, such as “Design Next,” with highlights of model hotel rooms of the future as envisioned by the firms selected to produce the vignettes.

Additional events scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday will feature a presentation by Apartment Therapy, New Trends Meet Real Life; a retrospective of Juan Montoya, one of the world’s most versatile and inspired interior designers.

Attendees are invited to enjoy these and other complimentary special events and seminars at Las Vegas Market along with a on-site amenities.

The partnership will continue in 2011 with both events taking place in Las Vegas. In addition, StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas will co-locate with Surfaces at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
